UBN Day
We got the chance to organize the UBN day. A day where all countries of UBN will meet each other.
We decided to organize a country fair. This is a two-day event that will take place from Saturday 12th of February 2022 till Sunday the 13th of February. The country fair will take place in the capital of Hama’lu, Platina, in a meadow with a large barn. All the members from the UBN will be welcome to do nice activities, get to know each other better, taste delicious meals,...
Since the theme is country, we encourage the guests to come in the dress code of country and western. So grab those cowboy hats, large belts and cowboy boots and let’s go to our event!

ACCOMMODATION:
It’s a two-day event, so the guests are staying in Platina for one night. We will pick up the guests from the airport by horse and cart. They will also leave this way, which fits our “country” theme.
They will stay in a hotel close to the country fair. The hotel will be decorated in the western theme to welcome the guests.
ENTRANCE PRICE: 110 euro for the two days
BUDGET:
- Transport: 250 euro
- Hotel stay: 1 000 euro
- Quiz material: we rent it for free from the local school
- Inflatable bull: 500 euro
- Typical dishes in food stalls made by locals: they have to pay extra if they want to buy something from there
- Photobooth with wanted pictures: photographer 800 euro for a weekend, props 30 euro (diy) -> 830 euro
- lasso throwing: 50 euro
- Horseshoes: 120 euro
- Line dancing: 100 euro
- Live country band: 390 euro
- Dinner and brunch: 1 300 euro
Total costs will be around 4 740 euros for us as a country. However, since this is a big event, we have managed to get some sponsorships to lessen the cost. Because of that, the guests have to pay around 110 euros or 55 HAMA for the event for us to “win the money back”. This price includes transportation from and to the airport of Platina, a stay at the hotel, a two-day event, dinner and a luxurious brunch, tons of nice and fun activities and amazing memories.
UBN AURA:
Every country is welcome at the event and will get an invitation. We have chosen the theme very deliberately. Country is linked to all the countries of the UBN, while fair means both “a fair” and “being treated equally”. This represents the value of equality of the UBN. Our goal is that everyone has an amazing weekend in Hama’lu and can connect with all the countries of UBN.
The quiz will allow the members of UBN will to get to know each other better in a fun way. This weekend is the perfect getaway to escape problems in their own country and learn more about how other countries work.
Our theme is country, and this word has a double meaning. 1) A nation with its own government, which are all the countries of the UBN and 2) popular music that is based on a type of traditional music from the western and southern US. So we decided to link the theme with the double meaning of the word ‘country’.
